It’s all go here at b2 right now. We currently have a crew building the Sofa Design stands at London’s Grand Designs Live, a crew heading to Amsterdam tomorrow for the ISSA Interclean show and next week an NHS event in Bournemouth and The Other Art Fair in central London. No enjoying the bank holiday for any of us but the business is growing stronger month on month. Watch this space for the next update…

Following a first meeting at 4pm yesterday, we have taken a brief, design, approved and started fabrication of the Sofa Design stand at the Ideal Home Show, installing on Monday at Earls Court. Not bad in 26 hours!

Turning Japanese!

And another 2 new projects – following a lot of time consuming hard work, we have been appointed to deliver 2 projects for the Japanese Government – the first a Japan Tasting Week promotional booth at the new Westfield Stratford City complex and the second a promotional tent at the Trafalgar Square St Patricks Day celebrations on 18th March. All systems go with just over a week to build both projects!

Two new business wins this week! b2 has been appointed the official contractor at Rumfest (ExCeL, 13 – 14 October) and The Whisky Show (Vinopolis, 6 – 8 October). As you’d imagine, we’re really looking forward both of these great projects and working with 2 new clients.

Once again, we’ll spend this weekend at Olympia working on the BETT show, though this year with a new client, Mexus Education. Working in partnership with Indian agency, Brandwidth Events, we will be supporting Mexus’ first time at the show, producing a striking, beautifully finished custom built stand for them to display their unique educational software and equipment. The hard work is done, the elements packed for loading and we’re all set to kick off the year at Olympia!

Christmas is here!

After a busy weekend at Earls Court, the very first Ideal Home Show at Christmas opened its doors yesterday. With an enormous Christmas tree centrepiece and lashings of snow and glitter, the show looks incredible, complimented of course by a Celebrity Chef Theatre, How To Theatre, Catwalk and fairy light covered bandstand, all produced by b2. Take a trip down there and get some Christmas shopping done!

Q Awards

When we turned up at the Grosvenor House Hotel this morning in the dark, it was extremely quiet and a bit dull. Four hours later and we’d built a big Paparazzi backdrop for the Q Awards and a few hours after that, who should rock up but Coldplay, Adele, U2, Gary Barlow and probably a few reality stars. And now it’s all done and dusted and back in the workshop…

Netcoms, The Emirates

No, unfortunately not Dubai or Qatar, but the next best thing, the Home of Arsenal Football Club! We spent today building the organiser’s shell scheme and fitting lighting, electrics, graphics and furniture for the Netcoms Show, which opens it’s doors again tomorrow in North London. Good luck Dennis, Hayley and the Netcoms team…

European Cancer Congress

It’s now day 2 of the European Cancer Congress in Stockholm and looks set to be another busy day on the Celgene stand as they officially launch breast cancer treatment Abraxane in Europe. An imposing stand structure mixed with good content, data and creative activities coupled with a large hospitality suite is proving to be a huge success and further builds the relationship between Celgene and b2. DSEi

Through Indian agency Pavilions & Interiors, b2 recently produced the Indian Ministry of Defence Pavilion at DSEi. This 399m2 custom built stand saw 9 individual exhibitors showcasing all types of defence equipment, from protective clothing to helicopters. b2 were contracted to build the stand just 3 weeks prior to the event and pulled out all the stops to produce the stand on budget and on time - no mean feat given the level of structure involved and made even more complex by a total change in the floorplan 10 days into the fabrication process.
